2. What we process, and why
This website uses no profiling tools, no tracking cookies and no advertising services. The only personal data processed are described below.
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Name, company, email and message submitted through the contact form | Responding to your inquiry and managing any pre-contractual or contractual relationship arising from it | Pre-contractual measures taken at the data subject's request (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) | 24 months from last contact, unless a contractual relationship follows |
| Email address provided to receive our market briefings | Sending new briefings published in the Insights section | Consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), withdrawable at any time | Until consent is withdrawn |
| Technical browsing data (IP address, server logs, anti-spam verification outcome) | Serving the website, keeping it secure and preventing abuse and automated submissions | Legitimate interest of the controller in the security of the service (Art. 6.1.f GDPR) | For the time strictly necessary, according to the settings of the providers listed below |
Providing the contact-form data is necessary to receive a reply: without it, the inquiry cannot be handled. No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.
3. Who processes data on our behalf
Data are processed by the controller and, as processors or independent controllers within their respective scope, by the technical providers that make the website work:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting, content delivery, contact-form handling and anti-spam protection (Turnstile);
- Resend — transactional email delivery (the inquiry notification and the confirmation message);
- Google LLC — the mailbox where communications are received and stored.
These providers may process data on servers located outside the European Economic Area, notably in the United States. Such transfers rely on the safeguards provided by Chapter V of the GDPR (adequacy decisions, including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for participating providers, or standard contractual clauses). Data are never shared with other parties nor sold.
4. Your rights
You may exercise at any time the rights provided by Articles 15–22 GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent (without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing). Simply write to info@silkmeridian.co.
If you believe the processing infringes the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
5. Changes to this notice
